Kristina delivers both courses. She has been working in involvement for over 25 years. She understands how it works, and how it makes a difference on many levels – and is always learning how to do better!
She has practical experience of involvement and has carried out multiple evaluations of practice and impact. She understands the perspectives of people with lived experience and researchers. She has involved people with lived experience in much of her own work. She has written national guidance on involvement, produced hundreds of case studies and published extensively on the lessons learnt.
Kristina began her career as a biomedical researcher, gaining her PhD from Cambridge University, and working as a post-doctoral fellow in the USA. She moved into health and science policy working at the King’s Fund and Sussex to involve the public in health policy debates. Through working as an adviser at the London Science Museum, she has gained experience in making research accessible to the public.
